Is Morphine Effective In Treatment For Throat Cancer?
My uncle have throat cancer. He had Radio Theraphy for one month. He had a set back where he has a fever coming and going. The hospital took test again and said the cancer is pressing on the bone in the throat. They send him home with 2 bottles of Morfien. What will the Morfien do to him.
The radio therapy was for the treatment of the throat cancer. Your doctor has prescribed Morphine probably for the pain associated with throat cancer and radiotherapy. It is a very good analgesic that might help him for the pain and fever symptoms. However, watch out for the fever, if it continues for more than 2 days, consult your doctor to check for infections causing the same. Fever can sometimes also be associated with radiotherapy.
