Is Motrin Advisable During Nights Along With Lorazapam And Tramadol?

I am taking tramadol for severe shoulder pain because I wanted a non-narcotic pain reliever. I noticed that while taking only 2 a day 6 hours a part, that I couldn t sleep well at night. I also take a .5 mg lorazapam at night for anxiety to help sleep and even with that I couldn t sleep on the tramadol. I stopped taking 2 and now just take one in the morning. I am pain free for about 2 hours. At night I take a half of a motrin pm along with my lorazapam. Is that ok in conjunction with the one tramadol?

Hi,

Taking these many drugs of which mostly are depressants and can amplify side affects too. You can use local analgesics and check for orthopedist's opinion if any imaging study can help in diagnosis of shoulder pain and CBT therapy from psychiatrist can be helpful in sleep with EEG studies. Learn breathing exercises, it can help you in sleep without side effects. Don’t take Lorazepam without prescription.
