Is Mucobron Forte And Cefuroxime Safe During Pregnancy?

Hi! Im Marivic 23weeks pregnant, im so paranoid about taking medication though it is prescribe of my OB-Gyne I have 5days coughing and she given me medication Mucobron forte and cefuroxime 3x a day.Is it safe for my baby.this is my first baby and im so paranoid of whats happening in me. first my doctor gave me ambroxol and cefuroxime but she change ambroxol with mucobrom forte i read from internet that mucobrom has side effect so i want to switch it to ambroxol is it ok? Thank you marivic

I appreciate your concern for the safety of drug during pregnancy, most of the drugs are harmful to be taken during pregnancy.
cefuroxime can be used to treat infection without harmful effects
Mucobron Forte can be taken during pregnancy if your cough is not getting controlled with other measures like steam inhalation, taking pure honey, etc.but If you notice a decrease in fetal movements then it must be stopped and a gynecologist should be consulted.
