Hi,
Nattokinase is an enzyme that is extracted from a popular Japanese food called natto. Natto is boiled soybeans that have been fermented with A bacterial prototype.
Natto has been used as a folk remedy for diseases of the heart and blood vessels for years
Nattokinase is commonly used orally for cardiovascular diseases including
heart disease,
high blood pressure,
high cholesterol, stroke, chest pain (angina),
deep vein thrombosis (DVT), "hardening of the arteries" (
atherosclerosis), hemorrhoids,
varicose veins, poor circulation, and
peripheral artery disease (PAD).
In alternative medicine, nattokinase is purported to dissolve abnormal blood clots which are linked to heart attacks, stroke, and other conditions. So far, there is a lack of concrete scientific support for the claim that nattokinase can dissolve blood clots. In some clinical studies, nattokinase has been shown to
1) Dissolve excess fibrin in blood vessels, which improves circulation, causes clot dissolution and reduces risk of severe clotting.
2) Reduces LDL (Bad) cholesterol and increases HDL (Good) cholesterol. 3) Reduces blood viscosity, improves blood flow and lowers blood pressure.
But in our world of modern medicine, more studies are required to definitely prove the ability to improve blood vessel health and reduction in both systolic and diastolic blood pressure.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
