Is Nexium Advisable While Suffering From From Skipped Beats?

Hello. I have a heartbeat that almost always has a skipped beat (I know that s a misnomer). And I get stomach gas that presses upwards and seems to affect my heart and drains my strength badly. When I pass the gas, then I m back to normal. Should I take Nexium?

Hi,

Nexium is composed of 'Esomeprazole', which is a proton-pump inhibitor and it reduces stomach acid. It is used in the treatment of dyspepsia, peptic ulcer disease and gastroesophageal reflux disease.

Since your symptoms are primarily related to acid reflux, you can take it once a day for 10 days on empty stomach. It should help to overcome the symptoms.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Ashakiran S,
