Is Nitrofurantoin The Right Antibiotic To Treat UTI?
I have a urinary tract infection. My dr prescribed nitrofurantoin 100mg capsules to be taken 2times a day. I was also prescribed hydro codons/acetate inophen s329 tabs (for norco. I got kidney transplant approx. 10 years ago. It seems I am always getting uti s since my transplant. Is this the right. Antibiotic that aim prescribed?
Hi, The drug prescribed for you is most appropriate for urinary tract infection. As you are on steroids there will be mild immuno-suppression, hence recurrent UTI is a common scenario.
