Is Non-Hodgkin S Lymphoma And Blood Clots Hereditary?
Hi, my husband is on coumadin, tramadole and has a history of low sperm count. He s had non Hodgkins lymphoma and blood clots. His son has an eating disorder EE and a blood clotting disorder. If we were to have biological children what are the odds they will have these medical issues?

1. Non Hodgkin's lymphoma is a malignancy with multifactorial causes. There is a sporadic genetic mutation in that and hereditary transmission is not noted.
2. However clotting disorder if related to factor VIII or IX can be passed to offsprings, especially male children. They can be carriers or manifest with disease depending on the number of diseased genes inherited.
3. This can be checked by prenatal testing and screening during pregnancy.
4. Eating disorders are not hereditary.
