Is Norethisterone Tablets IP Primolut-N Safe During Pregnancy?
Hi. My girlfriend is telling me she might be pregnant. She went to a doc and took a urine pregnancy test which apparently is weakly positive . She is also telling me her doc advised her to take Norethisterone Tablets IP Primolut-N . But I googled and it says should not be taken during pregnancy. Please advise,
Yes, it may be taken safely during pregnancy. Primulot-N (Norethisterone) is a synthetic form of female hormone progesterone commonly prescribed to postpone the period and to regulate ovulation and menstruation. If taken during pregnancy it actually helps to support and maintain an early pregnancy and also reduces the risk of miscarriage or preterm delivery.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further. Take care.
