Hi I m have polycystic ovaries I have been to a gynecology and gave me primolut to start on then I had to return on Tuesday to see her and she gave me novelon and am learning that it a birth control pills in understand it can regulate my hormones but also lower the risk of being pregnant. ... what else can I use to treat polycystic ovaries that won t prevent me from having kids ?
Novelon is a combined hormonal pill commonly prescribed to regularize the menstrual cycles associated with polycystic ovarian syndrome (PCOS). In addition to novelon I would also recommend metformin. Metformin is basically used to control blood sugar in type 2 diabetes. It is also found to be useful for lowering insulin and blood sugar levels in women with PCOS. This helps regulate menstrual cycles, start ovulation, and lower the risk of miscarriage in women with PCOS.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
