Is Nusam-400 And Zevit Advisable For Chronic Jaundice?
Hi, I was diagnosed with Viral Hepatitis E a month back.I was hospitalised for 17 days & given meds & albumin, as creatinine had gone up & TOTAL Bilirubin had jumped to 31 , & severe Jaundice, with yellowness on whole body. I was discharged 10 days back with Bilirubin at 18. Now i am supposed to take Nusam 400 thrice a day with Zevit 2 a day & Uroscol 2 a day. Please advice

All these medicines are for your symptoms, not for hepatitis E. since this illness completes its course and patient recovers by himself gaining immunity for the future.
You can continue these medicines as per prescription of your doctor. I suggest you take vaccination for hepatitis B as well.
