Is Oflox Safe To Be Taken For Loose Stool?
My son is 4.10 years... He suddenly got up at 4.15 for water nd after water he told me i want to do potty nd till i take him .. His panty was full with loose motions .. It was v stinky too.. Then i made him sit on the pot nd there also he did loose watery potty.. I hv oflox 100 rediuse now at home.. Should i give him medicine or not .??? Plz suggest

Hi,
If the child had one single loose motion, there is no reason to give an antibacterial straight away. Give enough water, preferably oral rehydration solution (any of the readily available brands) about half a liter per day. Plus if loose stools continue then give Zinc acetate liquid. Usually with these measures child will be fine. Ofloxacin should be used sparingly.
