Is Orofer Sucrose Injection Effective In Improving The Hemoglobin Level During Pregnancy?

Hello sir, I m 8 month pregnant and my hemoglobin level is 8. My Dr has suggested me to take orofer sucrose injection thru IV once in a week for 3 weeks. Will u plz suggest me that this will increase my hemoglobin level as I don t have much time because next month is my due date

dear mam. most common cause of anaemia in pregnancy is iron deficiency anaemia. if it's iron deficiency anaemia definitely iron must increase after iron injections. kindly get complete blood count, iron profile and vitamin B12 estimation to know type of anaemia. if it's iron deficeincy u can take iron injections. repeat hb after iron injections. if it doesn't increase after iron injection consider haemoglobin electrophoresis test to rule out mild form of haemoglobinopathy. any further queries u can call on 9986418611. thank u
