Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Is Ostarine Safe To Be Taken When Diagnosed With Glomerulonephritis?
Is Ostarine safe for me if I have CKD glomnueronepheritis and have been managing it perfectly well with BP meds for the last 17 years. I am not on any restrictive diet and my condition has improved over that time. I just want to gain 8-10 kilos of muscle for my work. (Corrections.) my renal specialist said it should be ok. Is this correct.
Ostarine is composed of 'Enobosarm', which is an selective androgen receptor modulator (SARM) used for the treatment of conditions such as muscle wasting and osteoporosis. SARMs are designed to selectively target skeletal muscle and spare other tissues.
But most data available are the results of ongoing clinical trials and have not been approved for use by the Food and Drug Administration. You have to consider the protein content in it. If it has some kidney failure protein, it can worsen the condition.
It would be better to consult your doctor and discuss completely about it before taking anything like that.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Ashakiran S,
General & Family Physician
