Hi,
Panderm and candid-b, both contain a steroidal component. Both can have issues if used for the long term. But short term use imposes no risk. I suggest you discuss with your healthcare provider for proper diagnosis through microscopical examination as well as a physical examination.
As the most common cause of
groin infection remains fungal, you can discuss with your healthcare provider to prescribe only antifungal ointment. But again the mainstay of the treatment remains proper diagnosis as soon as possible. Once the diagnosis is made, you may have to start treatment both oral and local.
Apart from that, follow below general measures :
• wearing loose-fitting natural fibers, such as cotton undergarments
• Avoid contact with others. Avoid sharing items, such as towels and sporting equipment
• Most important, keep the area absolutely dry. You can use a dryer to dry the area frequently.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Maninder, General & Family Physician
