Is Paroxetine Better Than Prozac For Treating Depression?

hello i got prozac 40mg per day for 16 years now i dont feel happy any more.my physician told me it is better to shift it to paroxetin because your brain tolerated to prozac anti depresant effect.just i m 38 years old and i suffer from dysfuric mood.what dose of paroxetin is good for me?and how can i shift it? thenk you

Prozac and paroxetine are the same class of drugs used for depression mainly. As these drugs belong to same class, their efficacy is almost equal. Your doctor has examined your current symptoms and carefully prescribed this drug to you likely considering its efficacy superior to Prozac which you have been taking for a long duration.
