Is Percocet Used For The Treatment Of Diabetes Induced Diarrhea?
I m very concerned about a woman who is caring for my 3 year old grandson. She is type 2 diabetic & has been taking Percocet & adivan for three years. She is displaying controlling paranoid behavior. Did not realize she was using all these meds. We are in process of trying to take my grandson away from her. Have you ever heard of Percocet being used for diabetic indused diarhria?
Percocet is used to treat pain and contains a narcotic medicine. I believe Adivan is a muscle relaxant and used to treat anxiety.
Both of these medicines require a doctor's prescription. So there should be a medical professional writing her prescriptions and keeping a record of how much medicine is being prescribed.
Diabetes-induced diarrhea is a sign that her diabetes is not well controlled. Percocet is not indicated for the treatment of diabetes-induced diarrhea. It has no effect on diarrhea.
Is this caregiver a family member? Does he stay with her all of the time? Why do you have to go through a process to take him back? Does she have custody?
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards,
Dr Arnold Zedd, Pediatrician
