Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
My baby is 4 month old and as he rolling due to pressure on stomach and his toilet is yellowish color proper but doing 3 to 4 times a day little little...... he is vomitting a lot... here he is drinking and then rolling and then vomiting. He is not vomitting milk but its like dahi...... after to a dr he suggested perinorm 8 drops thrice a day is it safe to give him perinorm as i have read a lot of side effect of perinorm.....
Perinorm prevents vomiting by speeding up stomach emptying and movement of intestines.
It can be used in children but avoid using it for a long period. I would suggest you to use the drug as prescribed by the physician and not more than the prescribed period.
Domperidone is also a drug used for vomiting and has fewer side effects than perinorm. Domperidone can also be considered if perinorm is not desirable.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards,
Dr. Saranya Ramadoss, General & Family Physician
