Is Polycystic Kidney Disease Curable ?
I am suffering from PKD. My both the kidneys are polycystic. I am suffering from PKD. My both the kidneys are polycystic. As per my knowledge it s not curable. Please let me know the consequences of my disease.

PKD is the most common life threatning disorder characterised by fluid filled cysts that form i8n the nephron of both the kidneys.Altough a for cure of PKD is not available,treatment can ease symptoims and prolong life.Medicines to control high BP,medicine and surgery to reduce pain,antibiotics to resolve infection,dialysis and kidney transplantations are proved to be helpful.

hi,thanks for query.Yes your knowledge is right.Poly cystic kidney disease can not be cured.The problems like blood pressure,recurrent infection needs to be taken care of.At times when there gross problems you may need kidney transplant in future.please be in regular touch with your physician.
