Hello, I used to take Levora BC, then pharmacy switched me to Portia, now they switched me to Altavera 0.15 and 0.03. They said it’s the same thing and I don’t need to use another form of birthcontrol and should still be protected because the pills are the same just different name? Should i use a condom for the first week on the Altavera ? Or am I still protected going from Portia to Altavera . I always take my pills at the same time and never miss a pill.
the ocp are sold in many brand names by different manufacturing companies but content are same so you should not worry and can switch to it.but if you wish you can use other barrier method with it like condom.
