Is Postinor 2 Effective After Unprotected Sex Twice?

I took postinor 2 after having unprotected sex last friday. then the condom broke on monday while having sex again on monday (3 days later) so i took postinor 2 again. will it have worked the second time? my period isnt due till the middle of this month

This Tablet contains Levonorgestril which is taken as 1.5mg
within 72 hours of unprotected sex

yes. it's effective but you should avoid trying the drug's efficacy by repeated unprotected sex episodes .

since
it's not just Emergency contraceptive pill but it has its side effects too like Acne, headache, ovarian cyst etc ...

It can be used by two plans

Plan A
you have to take 0.75mg orally as soon as possible after an episode of unprotected sex and then you will have to take another 0.75 mg orally 12hours later .

Plan B
In this plan , you will have to take 1.50mg of this drug as soon as possible after an unprotected sex.

( a study indicating that beginning as late as 120 hours (5 days) after intercourse could be effective.)

Amenorrhea (Loss of period /menses ) and delayed menses is one of the side effect of this drug too which occurs in about 1-2% of the candidates .


if you are still concerned, then just perform a urine pregnancy test at home but remember that you must read the directions carefully and do it properly...
