Is Potassium Permanganate Solution Advisable For Enlarged Tonsils?
My 4yr son has enlarged tonsils and am told it has to be removed surgically after taking all the antibiotics, but am told gargling potassium permanganate solution may help kill the bacteria causing the swelling . how true is this please? and if it is how do a prepare the solution
Pottasium permanganate is not a safe medicine because of its toxicity. You can do warm saline gargles. If symptoms persist, consult an ENT physician and start on antibiotics.
Hope I have answered your query.
Take care
