Hello, welcome to ` Ask a doctor ` service. I read your query and here is my advice.
Pylera is a combination of bismuth subcitrate potassium, metronidazole, and tetracycline. It is used to treat peptic ulcer (duodenal ulcer) with Helicobacter pylori infection. Also clarythromycine is used in combination with anti-ulcer medications to treat certain types of stomach ulcers.
Both are antibiotics and have similar side effects.
I wold prefer pylera because is more specific to helicobacter. pylori.
Hope I have answered your question.Let me know if I can assist you further.
