Is Rabies Vaccination Advisable For The Slight Scratch Done By Dog?

Well a friend s dog scratched me, and I m afraid of rabies (always have been) and I have a slight scratch that I put rubbing alcohol a few minutes later and there was a slight burn, should I be concerned? I see red on it, maybe the blood trying to escape?

HI,
I understand your query.
If the dog has bitten you & the scratch is due to teeth of dog with blood,,you need anti rabies injection. But in case it's just a nail scratch you don't need it. Only injection T T is sufficient.
If the biting dog is a pet dog & received anti rabies vaccine.. you need not take Rabies vaccine , only inj. TT will do.
Thanks.
