Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Is Ramipril a blocker blocker, commonly known as Altace. I am scheduled for a Exercise Cardiolite Nuclear Stress test tomorrow AM Was told do not take Beta Blocker... I am on carvediloi, known as Coreg, and I know that is\ a beta blocker, so I am NOT taking that, but need to know about Ramipril. Here is a list of my medications: Chewable baby aspirin Bumex Coreg Ramipril Xanax Simvastatin
Ramipril is a drug which belongs to category of Angiotensin converting enzyme inhibitor which is clearly different from b blockers. Yes you are right to say that carvedilol is b blocker but as asked I like to inform you that you can continue your ramipril as scheduled since it is not a b blocker.
I hope this answers your question. Thanks and regards.
