hello welcome to healthcaremagic.
I am Dr. Arpit varshney and i will surely help you out.
reclast is zoledreonic acid. it is a
bisphosphonate. thes drugs inhibit osteoclasts which cause
bone resorption. so basically these drugs prevent bone breakdown.
these are mainly prescribed for
osteoporosis.
i do not know exactly how long ago this medication was approved but its not been v. long. its in phase 4 of its trial.
side effects are not much and are simpler like nausea, tiredness, fever, chills, muscle/joint aches, cough,
dizziness,headache,vision problems,diarrhea.
if you are experiencing nausea and vomiting please take pantop D or
ondansetron.
if it doesnt resolve please talk to your clinician about changing your drug because there are other drugs available for osteoporosis.
I hope this helps.
please feel free to revert back in case of any further concerns/queries.
i wish for your good health
