Is Reclast Injection Advisable For An Elderly Person With Osteoporosis?
I am an 85 year old female diagnosed with osteoporosis. Because of three fractures my doctor has recommended once a year Reclast injection. I have a history of polio (age two) and more recently (8 years) neuropathy (idiopathic). The PT person is treating me for brain, nerve muscle coordination. Also was recently hospitalized for kidney stone removal. Question: Is Reclast once a year therapy by a Hematologist-Oncologist the best treatment for me? .
dear Madam for your osteoporosis yes it is. though there are other alternatives available like allondronate 70 mg once a week or ibandronate monthly but zolandronic acid since once a year dosage is most convenient apart from that you will need regular calcium and vit d supplimentation
