Is Respirodol Advisable For A Person With Heart Disease?

My dad was given respirodol for 6 weeks. He was an 81y.o man. He had diabetes/heart condition and early stages of vascular dementia. He was taken to hospital for high blood sugar and kept there while awaiting placement in an aged care facility. The respirodol had massive effects on him.We saw a massive loss of muscle moreso in his legs and he was unable to walk. He walked into the hospital and never came out alive. We started to see small changes which led to a massive change in my dad.He died 6 weeks later. We are living in Melbourne Australia. Was this drug suitable for his age and medical condition.
