Is Robaxin Right Medication For Spasming Back While Being On Asacol And Nortryptyline For Nerve Pain?
My husband is 66 and recently spent a week digging out roots when we had a tree taken out. He works full on and didn t take breaks so now his back is spasming. The doctor has prescribed Robaxin but when I went to pick up his prescription the clerk said the pharmacist was concerned about his taking it because of his age. He is also on blood pressure medicine, Asacol, and nortryptyline for shingles nerve pain. Is the a better alternative to Robaxin?

It is not a bad drug for that. It does not have serious interactions with other drugs and has a high safety margin (the dangerous dose is quite far from the useful dose). There are many other drugs for back spasm.
