Is Roset Advisable When Having A LDL Level Of 145?
I am taking Lipril 2.5 mg daily since 11 years. Recently I had cholestorel checkup, My LDL is 145. Doctor has prescribed Roset 20mg daily. Is this medicine mendatory for me ? My age is 45 and height is 4 11 and weight 54kg. Do I need any other precautions?
If it is really 145 then cholesterol lowering drug is needed along with lifestyle changes (BP regular checks, eating habits, maintenance of BMI, ECG, blood sugar). Only after checking your ECG, if you have no side effects like dizziness, cough or hypotension, you may continue the same and follow up.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Sunny Madar, General & Family Physician
