Is SGPT Value Of 89 A Cause For Concern While Suffering From Ductal Carcinoma?
Hi, my name is Bubut, 48 y.o., female. I had invasive ductal carcinoma, stage 2A, underwent my first chemo last July 31. I am supposed to have my 2nd chemo session this Fri, but my SGPT is 89. My oncologist told me to postpone the chemo for 1 week, advised me to take Godex DS. What can you say?

Hi,
Could be due to chemo induced liver injury. Based on the history you seem to have liver injury apparently caused by chemotherapy however the possibility of spread of cancer to the liver must be ruled out.
Meanwhile take the prescribed medicine Godex-DS as it is useful in reversing the drug-induced liver injury.
