Is STD Transmission Possible Despite Protected Intercourse?

So my boyfriend and I are both clean of STDs and STIs. We re both only having sex with each other and we re having protected sex. I was just wondering if it s possible for two people who don t have an STI/STD to contract it if they re only having sex with the one person.

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

If you are both clean of STD and are sure cause you have done tests for those diseases, unprotected sex with each other won't bring you STD. But protected intercourse will protect you from any unwanted pregnancy, so if you don't want a baby right now I suggest protected intercourse.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
