General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,
Thank you for trusting HCM

Statin is used to treat high blood cholesterol and LDL levels. It is not the treatment to control increased heart rate. Heart rate control is attained by different classes of medications like beta blockers, calcium channel blockers, digoxin, amiodarone etc depending on the cause for increased heart rate.
