Is Susten 300mg The Right Medication To Induce Periods?

Hi Doctor I have missed my periods and contacted doctor for the same, where my pregnancy test result was negative. even after that i didnt get my periods and hence visited doctor to get tablets. doctor suggested for susten 300 Mg. informed to me to wait for 10 days and if i didnt get my periods after 10 days asked me to visit once again.. PLZ guide me the reason for which susten 300 mg is suggested to me
