Is TSH Level Of 43 A Cause For Concern?

Tsh level 43 was detected during my pregnancy as per doctor advise I started taking thyronorm 100 mcg but after 15 days I got missed abortion. Now after 1 month of usage of thyronorm I got my TSH again tested it found 0.05 which is below normal. My doctor suggested me to start taking 50mcg thyronorm. Should I continue with thyronorm or stop taking.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello dear
Understand your concern
I feel very sad for your abortion. And hypothyroidism is the cause of your abortion. For that doctor gave you 100 ug Thyronorm to treat low activity of thyroid.
But after taking your TSH get lower means you developed hyperthyroisidim due to intake of drug.
You do not stop the drug as you TSH again become high.
You have to consult the endocrinologist and you have to reduced dose up to 25 ug to maintain TSH level in normal range.
GO for regular follow up to doctor and thyroid profile analysis.
Hope this may help you
