Is Taxin-O And Mikastar Advisable To Treat Fever In A Child?

Sir, My Newley bone 3 days old . After his blood check doctor is prescribe .the following medicin. Taxiam 250 injuction. 6 number mikastar 100mg . 1 number normal saline 100ml .. 1 number I didn t notice any problems. In my bay . We noticed very small fever and nosing in day 2 . Please advice why Dr prescribe these much medicine for my bay Thanks in advance

Taxim (cefotaxime) and Mikastar(amikacin) are antibiotics used in the treatment of infections. I hope your doctor has a clue about more severe infection from the symptoms of fever and clinical examination. That might be the reason your child is put on those antibiotics.
