Is Toprol-XL Effective In The Treatment Of High Blood Pressure?

In December I had a tachacardia and went into a fib they kept ne over night at hospital and sent me home on diktizzem 120. I don t sleep well at night and my blood pressure is still not good nor heart rate. The doctor wanted to put me on to toprol xl what do you think of that..
