Is Trazodone A Sleeping Aid?

hello, I was currently on zopiclone a blue sleeping pill and my doctor prescribed for 2 months, then he prescribed trazodone, to get off of the zopiclone, which I stopped taking and took my first trazodone last night, and could not sleep, felt drowsy, and my heart was pumping harder. Can I take them together, I see trazodone is not a sleeping pill.

trazodone is contains desyrel. it is used in case of panic attack, depression,etc
zopiclone is benzodiazepine like drug also used in anxiety, panic attack and sleeping problem.
trazodone can be used with zopiclone if you didn't develop any side effect like as reported in case of trazodone.
zopiclone induce sleep faster.
