Is Trexall Safe For Treatment Of Rheumatoid Arthritis?
My 35 year old daughter was diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis yesterday and will be taking Trexall, Prednizone, iron and Vitamin D. Reading the possible side effects of the Trexall is rather scary! Is this a common treatment option for this disease?

Trexal is a brand name of methotrexate. It does have side effects but it is the drug if choice for this condition especially for younger individuals.
If she can not tolerate the side effects you can switch to newer drugs like immunomodulators but the cost may be a problem.
