General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

Yes, it is recommended for hair loss treatment. It contains minoxidil 10% and is commonly used as a topical treatment for male pattern baldness, to help prevent further hair loss and promote the growth of new hair. However, if you have any underlying cause for hair loss that should be detected and treated accordingly.

Its common side effects include local irritation, redness, itching, burning sensation, scalp flaking and rash. Hair color or texture may be altered with increased hair loss at first, as old hairs make way for new hairs, also contact of this medicine with other areas such as the forehead may cause unwanted hair growth.

Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
