Is Tylenol Advisable For Arthritic Pain In Fingers?

I seem to have arthritis in my hands, with nobby looking joints. Also, a trigger finger of the right ring finger, with pain in the joint at the base of that finger. Which is better, tylenol or advil type pain meds? I have also used a compression glove with some success.
