Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Is Tylenol Safe To Be Taken For Arthritis Pain Relief?
I have severe arthritis and hurt badly in my hips, knees and ankles. My rumatolagihst had me taking tramadol but I became very depressed and felt like I was always in slow motion. He told me to come off it slowly and try Tylenol but not to take more then 3000mg a day. Is Tylenol safe to take long term. I am 64. I see it is not good to use Aleve lone term (this works well for me). Would Aspirin be OK?
Tylenol is safe to relieve pain for arthritis. Aleve belongs to family of tramadol and may have similar effect. Aspirin should not be used on regular basis without doctors recommendations.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
