Is Utoclan Advisable Shortly After Having Menstruation To Delay Further Bleeding?

I am going on holiday on Wednesday (22nd) I have started my period early but wanted to take Utovlan to delay it over my holiday. Could I start taking it now to stop my period over my holiday? If I run out of tablets on my holiday will I start bleeding straight away?

Hi,

Utovlan is a Norethisterone (hormone) preparation and can be used to control excessive bleeding during periods. In case you want to stop bleeding for time being, it will restart after you stop the pills. Dose taken depends on severity bleeding to be controlled to be decided by treating doctor after taking history of complaint physical examination.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
