Dear sir i can understand your concern in my opinion vitamin b12 deficiency will worsen diabetic neuropathy so it s mandatory for all diabetes individuals check for vitamin b12 especially when they are having symptoms of diabetic neuropathy. doctor will suggest vitamin b12 injection in case of very low serum levels or severe neuropathy. this vitamin acts as building blocks for nerves so its very important in protecting nerves system in body. most of diabetes individuals of diabetes will be taking a drug called metformin which will also decrease the absorption of b12 in body. so b12 is very commonly given in all diabetes individuals there is nothing to worry and b12 deficiency is not associated with any cancer regards Dr vamsi
