Is Vyvanse Advisable While Recovering From Concussion?
Hi, I smacked my head on a metal bar yesterday and gave myself a concussion. I have headaches, head pressure, uneven pupils, sensitivity to light and sound, foggy mind, and a few other symptoms. I take 50mg vyvanse daily for adhd, today i took two because i couldn t stand how foggy and incohearent my mind was. Now that I m semi lucid I m thinking that might not have been a good idea? Should i take my vyvanse while i recover? And follow up, at what point should i go to a doctor about the concussion?
General & Family Physician, Dr. Sirisha's Response
your symptoms suggest there might be serious sub arachnoid damage for which CT scan is needed and depending upon the result and your symptoms yoy need medication under a neurologist guidance.you are not supposed to increase the dose of vyvanse on your own.increasing the dose should be done under your drs guidance.you immediately have to go for ER in any good hospital.
