Hi,
In
binge eating disorder, usually a person participates in recurrent episode of binge eating at least once a week for three months with feeling unable to stop the episode. Binge eating disorder is an psychological issue. So, you should contact with a
psychologist or qualified mental health professional for his valuable advice and treatment. Cognitive behavioural therapy is the most effective and established treatment for binge eating disorder.
After assessing you, your psychologist will decide whether cognitive behavioural therapy alone or both cognitive behavioural therapy and medications like Vyvanse will be treatment of choice for ur binge eating disorder. Though Vyvanse is FDA approved for the treatment of binge eating disorder, it is
central nervous system stimulant having some serious side effects like decreased appetite,
increased heart rate, increased blood pressure,
insomnia, psychotic symptoms, even sudden death among patients with diseases. So, this medication should be used with precautions.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
