Is X Ray Required For Pain And Numbness In Shin?
I fell down the stairs just over a month ago and badly skinned/bruised my shin just above the ankle. I used ice and compression the first week but when I walk I still feel a sharp pinching sensation. When I touch my leg it doesn t hurt but feels numb and there is a lump under the scar that is now there. It hurts to walk long distances and driving is still troublesome. Should I get an xray?

I have gone through your query. As you having pain still it is better to get a local examination by orthopedic surgeon and a X ray. It can be a hair line fracture or strain. In case of fracture immobilisation will be required. If just strain then NSAIDs like nimusulide will be helpful.
