Is A 7 Mm Cyst In Gall Bladder Sign Of Cancer ?

Is a 7 mm cyst in gall bladder sign of cancer? Hi doc..HI, I am 25 years male. I am suffering from lower stomach pain on right side. I went through ultra sound and other tests and found that there is a 7 mm cyst in my gall bladder.My dad died due to cancer with the same symptoms 1 year back.Is it hereditary?Is this a sign of cancer?what is the treatment at this stage shall I go for an operation?

gall bladder cyst is not know much unless some parasitic infestation. well i would like to see the ultrasound report to state if its cyst or polyp you are talking bout. and if cyst of complete gallbladder means u have a cystocele and that needs a surgery which we perform thro laparoscopic cholecystectomy. even polyp bigger than 12 mm requires surgery.

Just got the other report and it is confirmed as 7mm Mucosal Polyp. Due to my family history my family doctor advised me to remove the gallbladder to avoid any possibility of cancer. I will send you my ultrasound report on your email id. Please have a check and advise me as what precautions and what actions needs to be taken..shall I go for the surgery and remove my gallbladder? What will be the effects of removing it on my health in future?

i have the same situation.i am 44 yrs old, male and i will be undergoing laparoscopic surgery to remove my cyst of the gallbladder. how long will be the recovery time after the surgery? when can i go back to playing golf and having intercourse? thanks
