Is A CT Scan Necessary After An Elbow Injury?

I m a 20 year old male from mumbai.Few days ago i slipped on floor that injured my left elbow.After consulting a orthopedic he suggested me to do a X-Ray of injured elbow.On inspecting the x ray he said that i have Coronoid process II of Ulna and then he suggested me to do a CT scan of left elbow.So i want to know is CT scan is really necessary ? & How much it will cost me for entire treatment in mumbai ?

Computed tomography (CT) may be useful in complex fracture dislocations to delineate the fracture patterns and for preoperative planning.

So exact cost has don't know in Mumbai. But you may consult your orthopedician he will examine and treat you accordingly.
