Is A PET Scan Possible While Suffering From Cold And Cough?
I have a schedule Pet Scan for my body, neck down to my mid thigh. I am concerned that I have residual cough from cold but was told that I can t have cough drop during the scan. What if I cough, would it affect the scan? In addition, I also can t fully lift my left arm toward my head as I just had surgeries recently. The most I can do is to lift my left arm so that my left hand can touch my head. Will that cause issue for the scan too? Thank you.

No, your left hand will not affect this scan,,but your cough will,,so you should take antitussive as brronchicum to decrease it
