Is A Biopsy Necessary Before A Heart Surgery For A Shrinking Valve?

hi,i need heart surgery to replace a shrinking valve but the heart doctor made me take a ct scan and since there are two masses on my lung he wants me to have a biopsy before the heart surgery I have to decide but I,m going crasy with fright to go for a biopsy what should I do.

Hi.

Fear is no reason to avoid the biopsy, and would be considered as self-neglect. Going ahead with the biopsy can help diagnose the cause, and also initiate treatment which can only get your better, so please do not avoid or delay it. It was found accidentally, but it was found for a reason.
